IRCTC • In Business of Online Rail Ticketing • Booked more than 6 Million Tickets or 12 Million Passengers in July 09 • Peak Tickets – More than 2,62,000 in single day • Average Tickets per day ~ 2 Lakhs • Total Revenue in - July 09 > 500 Crore • Total Revenue in 2008-09 > 4000 Crore • Average Ticket size in around Rs. 850 • Registered Users more than 10 million • More Number of Non-AC Passengers (60%) • (Still 25%-30% of Indian Railways)

  4. Share of Payment Instruments • Credit Cards : 31% • Net Banking : 32% • Non-Banking : 37% (37% has 2 Major Sub-headings) : 21% Cash Cards : 16% RDS

  5. Meaning of 21% Share of Cash Cards • Around 40,000 transactions per day or 12 Lakh transactions in a month • Around 3.5 Crore worth transactions per day or More than 100 Crore transactions per month
