  4. In an Asian city, there is a Jewish community/sector, and near it, is a Christian school full of Christian children learning prayers and songs. There is a widow’s son at the school, and he is taught by his mother to revere God and the Virgin Mary. At school, the boy always hears the Alma Redemptoris, a song praising the Virgin Mary sung between Christmas and Easter. He asks his older friend to teach him the song, and he learns it little by little until he learns it entirely. After this, he starts to sing the Alma Redemptoris all the time, to and from school. As a consequence, he sings it near the Jewish homes. The Jews, who have Satan in their hearts, feel disrespected by the boy, so they plot to kill him. They hire a killer to get rid of the boy. Summary

  5. One day, the killer waits for the boy to come singing down the streets, and then, he snatches the boy off the roads and slashes his throat and leaves him in a ditch. The mother waits all day and night long for her son to come home, but he does not. The next day, she searches for him everywhere, but does not find him. So in desperation, she goes to the Jews and asks them all if they know where he is, but they say no they don’t know. Fortunately, Jesus somehow directs her to her son who is in the ditch. When she finds him, he suddenly begin to sing the Alma redemptoris loudly. This attracts the attention of the nearby Magistrate and Christians. The Magistrate then orders for the Jews to be rounded up. He orders for the boy to be brought to the nearest abbey, and for the Jews, that knew of the murder, to be hung. The boy is brought to the altar of the abbey and the abbot asks the boy why he continues to sing even though he is supposed to be dead. Summary cont.

  6. The boy says it is because the Virgin Mary came to him, when he was near death, and told him to keep on singing until a grain placed upon his tongue is removed. The abbot removes the grain and the boy dies in peace. He is, then, given a great funeral. Summary Cont.
