  2. Menu Bars & Tool Bars Menu Bar A permanently displayed menu spreadhorizontally across the top of the screen or window. When themouse is pressed over an item on the menu bar, a pull-downmenu appears. • A row of icons on a computer screen that activate commands or functions when clicked. Tool Bar

Getting To Know Your Pull Down Menus Pull down menus are revealed only when theuser activates it, normally by pressing the mouse buttonwhile the pointer is over the title, whereupon the menuitems appear below the title. The user may then select anitem from the menu or click elsewhere, in either case the menu contents are hidden again. File Menu Let’s Explore the options under the File Menu.
