  2. 1.) Imperialism When a powerful country takes over a smaller weaker country for resources.

  5. 3. Social Darwinism ***the notion that individuals, societies, and races are subject to the processes of natural selection outlined by Charles Darwin; survival of the fittest theory. The idea that the weak groups of people and cultures will be eliminated while the strong groups of people will grow more powerful

  6. 3. Uncivilized NOT socially, morally, or culturally advanced Savage, Wild, Barbaric *today we call this a third world country
