  2. Annotated Bibliography • AB is a catalog (list) of all the POSSIBLE sources you might use and a short SUMMARY of what the source says and how you might be able to use it in your paper. • An annotated bibliography (as well as Works Cited page) is always alphabetized by author/sources last name. • DO NOT GROUP SOURCES TOGETHER (ie. books, internet, interviews); • ALL SOURCES SHOULD BE MIXED TOGETHER AND ORGANIZED ALPHABETICALLY BY LAST NAME.

  3. Annotated Bibliography • The entries in the bibliography MUST BE DOUBLE SPACED. The annotations are single spaced and indented 5 spaces on each side. • THIS SHOULD BE VERY EASY IF YOU USE easybib.com TO COMPLETE THE ASSIGNMENT

  4. FORMAT FOR ANNOTATED BIBLIOGRAPHY • Book Source Author’s last name, first name. Title of book (must be underlined or italicized). City where publishing co. is located: Name of publishing co., year book was published. Here is where you would begin your annotation. Each source must have a one paragraph annotation accompanying the bibliography. In this paragraph, you will briefly summarize the contents of the source and how you plan on using it in your paper. Annotations are single spaced and indented on both sides and should be between 3 and 5 sentences long. Grammar and spelling must be correct or you will lose points.

  5. FORMAT FOR ANNOTATED BIBLIOGRAPHY • Web Site • Name of author or editor of web site (if available). • Title of website. (ex. FBI Homepage) • Last date web site was updated (if available) • Number of pages. • Name of institution that sponsors web site. (ex. United States Government; University of Chicago) • Date you accessed the web site. • web address Modern Language Association. 30 August 2001. 4 pages. Modern Languages Association of America. 16 Dec. 2002. http://www.mla.org This annotation should read exactly like the book annotation. Please notice, no matter where your bibliography entry for your internet source ends, you always place the web address on its own separate line.
