  4. March 4th, 1865 • Abraham Lincoln’s second inauguration was on this date (1). • His first term as president was also during the civil war between the Union and the Confederates (1).

  5. March 17th, 1865 • Booth gathered his conspirators to plan the attacks on this awful night in American History (24). • They started to plan the many attacks on high Union government officials, such as Abraham Lincoln (24).

  6. April 3rd, 1865 • The Union, lead by Ulysses S. Grant defeated the Confederates (2). • They defeated the Union in Richmond Virginia, which was the capital of the Confederates (2).

  7. April 9th, 1865 • Robert E. Lee surrender to the Union army, this marked the end of the civil war (5). • This brutal war lasted a total of four years (5).

  8. April 14th, 1865 • At approximately 12:30 pm John Wilkes Booth arrived at Ford’s theater (11). • He started to plan out what he will do execute the assassination (11).

  9. April 14th, 1865 • Abraham Lincoln was assassinated at 10:10 pm (39). • He was shot by John Wilkes Booth with a derringer pistol while watching a play with his family (39).

  10. April 14th, 1865 • After Booth executed the assassination he went across the stage knowing that it would be his last stage performance of his life (39). • He was know the most wanted man in the United States of America (39).

  11. April 15th, 1865 • Booth and Herold left Mudd’s house after staying there for only a short period of time (112). • They left because Mudd thought it was to dangerous at his place and he also didn’t want to get caught (112).

  12. April 16th, 1865 • Booth goes to Cox next to hide out until he can get to the South where he will be more safe (116). • Cox tells him to wait in the pine thicket near his house (116).

  13. April 16th, 1865 • Booth receives food from Cox to hold them over until someone comes to take them across the river (116). • So they camp out, no noise or light to draw attention to themselves until the mysterious man arrives (116).

  14. April 20th, 1865 • A $100,000 reward is posted for the capture of the most wanted men (145). • These three men are Herold, Suratt and Booth (145).

  15. April 20th, 1865 • Atzerdot is arrested by soldiers while searching a house (141). • He was found lying in bed and didn’t even attempt to run away or fight back (141).

  16. April 20th, 1865 • The man arrives after after four day wait to take Booth and Herold across the river (144). • So they take the boat and start paddling to the South (144).

  17. April 20th, 1865 • Booth and Herold land the boat after a full day on the river (145). • But, they realize that they have only gone further up into Maryland putting them farther away from their goal to reach in the South (145).

  18. April 21, 1865 • Booth and Herold are now hiding out in the pine thicket again (149). • But, this time around nobody to help the and farther away from their destination in the South (149).

  19. April 24th, 1865 • Booth was hiding out in Garretts until he had a chance to takes his boat back down to the South (155). • Meanwhile, Herold was captured leaving Booth the only one of left to capture (155).

  20. April 25th, 1865 • Booth was found by many soldiers (170). • He fought of the first soldiers and tried to run, but he knew he only had a few seconds left in his life (170).

  21. April 25th, 1865 • Booth was finally assassinated and all the conspirators were captured or killed (177). • The twelve day man hunt was officially over (177).

  22. July 7th, 1865 • Powell, Herold, and Azterodt were hung (189). • They were hung at 1:26 pm and all the conspirators of Abraham Lincoln's assasination were over (189).

  23. July 1869 • Andrew Johnson, the president of the United States of America released Booth’s body (191). • He released it to Booth’s brother, Edwin, who buried him in Baltimore Maryland (191).
