  1. Working with Windows Movie Maker Video Creating and Editing for Class Presentations

  2. Find WMM program on the desktop and double-click to open Click on File  New Project Activity 1 – Begin a New Project

  3. Click File  Save Project as and save it as your first and last name (ex: johndoe) Activity 1- Begin a new project

  4. Click the Collections button Click Tools New Collection and give you collection a name Activity 1- Add photos/video clips

  5. Click Tasks  Import Photos and select all photos you want to include Activity 1- Add photos/video clips

  6. Make sure the Storyboard is showing at the bottom and drag each photo into it Save the project Activity 1- add photos/video clips

  7. Open your project File  Open Project Click Show Timeline Activity 2- Edit movie timeline

  8. Drag the blue time marker to adjust the amount of time each clip will be shown Review your video by clicking the play button in the video screen on the right Make any necessary adjustments and save your project. Activity 2- Edit movie timeline

  9. Open your project, then click Tools  Narrate Timeline Using the Input Level, adjust the microphone volume levels Click Start Narration to begin and Stop Narration when finished. Activity 3- Record a Narration

  10. A Save Windows Media File window will open – give your narration a name and click Save. Activity 3- Record a Narration

  11. Add Narration to timeline by dragging it to where you would like it to begin Save your project. Activity 3- Record a Narration

  12. Open project, then click Tools  Titles and Credits Choose either Title or Credit and enter text. Activity 4- add title/credit

  13. Make changes to text by clicking Change Title Animation then Change the Text Font & Color Save your project. Activity 4- add title/credit

  14. Click Tools  Video Effects Choose at least 2 different effects. Add by dragging into the Storyboard. Save your project. Activity 4- add video effects

  15. Click File  Save Movie File. Follow Save Movie Wizard. File saved at your first and last name. Activity 5- save as .mov file

  16. Movie will be saved as a .mov file Email as an attachment to your teacher Or Save to thumb drive Activity 5- presenting your project
