What’s on TT Entry Form? 2 • How to complete your Supervalu TT Entry Form (n.b. to read carefully, revised 2014, v helpful) • About You (contact person/group details) • Population category (n.b. to be in right one!) • Main Entry (8 categories with brief descriptions – (Read carefully!) • Map & notes on map • Info on special awards/downloading entry form

  3. Basic information 3 • Define TT area (map) – decide boundaries (logical) • Are you in right category? (pop/size) • Hardcopy/download form • 1 version ONLY • Keep all information together, no mixing of post/email • Recommend postal entry

  4. Tips for completing Entry Form 4 • Use adjudicator’s report as a tool to progress • Respond to all recommendations made • Ok if plans change, explain • Special Awards – separate form/judging

(notebook/diary) • Your one chance to sell! use it wisely • Clear, concise, bullet points – quality not qty • No repetition/overlap • Community Involvement & Planning – not for specific campaign details • Complete ALL sections – no blank spaces

Tips for Competing Entry Form (cont’d) 6 • Clearly show NEW work in last year (1st June 2013 to 31st May 2014) • Clear hand writing or type! • Right info under relevant heading - read carefully what each category looking for - key words • Slight changes in 2013 and 2014 (e.g. no ‘planned projects’ required • Planned projects should be clearly visible in your plan

  7. New for 2014 7 • Litter & Tidiness Merged – but still separate issues with marks going for each • No ‘general impression’ • Minor changes to category headings • Refer to handbook but most up to date info on www.tidytowns.ie • Document with revisions circulated to all TT groups

  8. Tips for Entry Form 8 • No local knowledge assumptions • Photos v helpful (before & after) • Be succinct & precise: - number projects on entry & map - numbers in entry in sequential order - where is it? - start & finish date (future finish ok)

  9. Additional Information 9 • Map (tourist) • TT Plan (3 - 5 yr) • PR Campaign samples • Waste Mgt/Wildlife info (awareness) • Keep info to minimum, 2013/2014 yr only

  10. Additional Information 10 • No CD’s, DVD’s etc • Give details of any facebook page, website etc but don’t assume they will be visited by adjudicator (include this under CI&P) • Photos v helpful (before & after) • Label & date any photos • Photos of awareness events
