Basic Steps • Use the 5 W’s to help decide type of show to create • Who is your audience…family, friends or public ( this may determine length or material • What to include…Just pics/Background music or narration…Live? • When/Where/ shown…PC, TV… (VCD or DVD), Web • Why are you creating the show…(Informative/entertaining) How should it be formatted? • C….P….O • COLLECT • PREPARE • ORGANIZE All Materials!

Some of the terms used in this field… • Jpg…bmp, pcx, tiff, gif, png,cgm, wmf… image formats • Jpg (JPEG) Joint Photographic Editors Group • Mpg (MPEG 1) Motion Picture Editor’s Group (VCD) • Mpg (MPEG 2) same as above “version 2” (DVD) • Divx (MPEG 4) “more compressed ”…(Also called avi!) • Avi Audio/Visual…a movie file with sound • Mov Another form of movie file…Apple version/Quicktime • Wmv New compressed format…good for web distribution • Mp3 (MPEG 3) same as above “digitized music” • Wav (WAVE) older style computer music • Zip Compressed file format

  6. ACDC’s FotoAngelo • Select Source Folder and add image • Go to Project Settings …to choose transition and slide length • Go to Global Settings… to choose music • Go to Slide show Properties to choose manual or auto-run • Create a Slide show • Remember to note your save “location”
