TRADITIONAL PATH S-JDA (JDAL) LEVEL IV GFO Full Joint Credit and CAPSTONE The Joint Qualification System EXPERIENCE PATH E-JDA JQS POINTS • Statutory Tour Lengths • 36 month (O-6 & below) • 24 month (GFO) • Tour Length Waivers Available • JPME I & II / AJPME Required • JPME Waiver Available LEVEL I Cum. Credit + 18 Points and JPME I LEVEL II TOTAL FORCE Full Credit + 18 Points and JPME II / AJPME JOINT QUALIFIED OFFICER (JQO) [ LEVEL III ] + 24 Points and CAPSTONE 2 Joint Qualification Level = Joint Education + Experience Pts + Other Pts

Joint Qualified Officer Program Joint Qualified Officer criteria includes the ability to obtain Joint credit from the following: Experience tours Attendance at certified joint courses in addition to JPME I, JPME II, and a Joint tour • JQO Points are awarded on a basis of • 1.0 point per 40 hours of training • Example: Completion of a 20 hour joint certified distributed learning course is awarded 0.5 JQO points • No more than two (2) points awarded per course Hours Training Number JOQ Points <16 hours = 0 points 16 - 39 hours = 0.5 point 40 - 59 hours = 1.0 point 60 - 99 hours = 1.5 points > 100 hours = 2.0 points 3

Certification Guidance • CJCSM 3500.03B, Joint Training Manual for the Armed Forces of the United States, 31 August 2007 • Currently under revision • This process applies to all organizations with a requirement for providing joint individual learning contents • Was USJFCOM JWFC J7/JT-05C, and JKDDC now Doctrine and Education (DEG) • 2. DJSM 30603-09, Joint Individual Learning Certification Criteria, 19 October 2009 • Supersedes joint certification criteria cited in Enclosure H of the JTM • Will be included in revision

Certification Criteria as of 19 Oct 09 • Content must meet a joint training requirement that supports a joint operational need • Content must bein accordance with current joint doctrine • Learning objectives mustlink to current Universal Joint Tasks (UJTs) • Course must have an assessment that tests and documents a learner’s achievement of the training objectives • Course must have a lifecycle maintenance [update annual, recertify triennially ] plan • Course should support the interest oftwo or more military departments and be accessible to all Service personnel that meet course requirements • Joint course instructors must possess relevant experience and knowledge of joint operations and/or activities related to the course • Course should not duplicate existing material

Requesting Joint Course Certification • Submit requests for course certification in the Joint Investment Data Base (JIDB) , JKDDC Module at: https://www-secure.jwfc.jfcom.mil/jam/jam.jsp • Each JKDDC Stakeholder has 1 to 3 JIDB request for service submitters assigned to their organization. Summary • JWFC/J7/DEG is the cognizant authority for joint course certification • New certification criteria issued 19 Oct 09 • A request for certification must be submitted to begin the course certification process • Courses must be joint certified to be called “joint” • Courses should be updated annually and must be recertified triennially • Joint certification enables awarding of JQS points • DEG COI on JKO – Anytime anywhere access to certification support documents
