What role did people have to do with the American alligator becoming endangered? • Soon they were on the endangered species list because of Alligator hunters. • By 1960 the American alligator was in danger of becoming extinct • Many people wanted to protect the American alligator • The hunting of American alligators was banned so more American alligators were born and they were off the endangered species list.
