  1. POSTER RESEARCH

  2. This is a teaser poster as it doesn't’t give much away at all. From the poster we can tell it is a film involving teenagers, and presumably skateboarding but not everyone would necessarily know that. The photo fits the stereotypes of skaters with long socks, long hair, baggy trousers. Also, this has identified their target audience as teenagers, and more likely, rebellious ones as they are climbing over a fence, suggesting the film is about rebellious teenagers. The text is large and stands out at the top of the poster and smaller text is at the bottom for details such as the production company and when it will be released.

  3. This is another poster for the same film. This gives much more away, making it much clearer it is about skateboarding, identifies the three main characters as well as the target audience from the way they are dressed. It follows the rule of thirds and the title is in large lettering with a tagline and more information about the film.

  4. I now have to decide whether I wish to make a teaser poster, or a more informative poster and what images to use.
