  1. The Lungs! By Isabella Bernal

  2. How we breathe! When you breathe in your lungs inflate like when you pump a ball. Our body breathes through a system called respiratory system. It is made up of three things trachea, lungs and diaphragm. Another name for trachea is windpipe. What’s something you do all day no matter where you are –breathe When you breathe in you diaphragm contracts. You breathe in air and when you breathe out you breathe carbon dioxide.

  3. Where are our lungs located? The lung on your left side is smaller then the other because it leaves space for you heart. Our lungs are located in our chest they are so huge they can take up most of the space in there. Our lungs are not the same size the way our eyes and nostrils are.

  4. Lung cancer is the uncontrolled growth of not normal of cells in your lung. Lung cancer! LUNG CANCER SYMTOMS! Patients with small cell lung cancer and those with who have non-small cell lung cancer often have different paraneoplastic syndromes. The most known paraneoplastic syndromes associated with small cell lung cancer are Siadh and Hypercalcemia. Coughing that never stops, Chest pain, shortness of breathe and bone pain.

  5. Asthma! The most common asthma symptoms are: shortness of breath wheeze chest tightness, and/or a dry, irritating and continual cough (especially at night/early in the morning, or with exercise or activity) Asthma is a condition that affects a person's airways, which are also called breathing tubes or bronchial tubes. These tubes lead from the windpipe, or trachea into the lungs. No-one REALLY knows what causes asthma, but we do know there are links to both your family history and the environment. For most kids, breathing is simple: They breathe in through their noses or mouths and the air goes into the windpipe. From there, it travels through the airways and into the lungs. But for kids with asthma, breathing can be a lot more difficult because their airways are very sensitive.

  6. Facts!!! In a average lifetime a person takes at least half a billion breathes. The total amount of air in the respiratory system is 4 litres in a small adult, and 6 litres in a large adult. Always about 1 litre of air always stays in our lung no matter how hard we breathe out.
