  3. Why am I interested? • The reason why I am so interested in this career is because I have always had a connection to special needs kids. I grew up with an autistic boy in my class and I was never afraid of approaching him and talking to him and being his friend. Another reason I am interested in this career is because it would be rewarding to help lower functioning kids.

  4. Education Pathway • 5 year Teaching degree • 1 year CEA diploma • 2 year psychology program

  5. Salary/ Future Outlook • Starting salary is $21.00 • Salary can reach $60,000

  6. Working Condtions • 6 hours a day • Hits and Bites from Children • Schools • Working with disabled kids • Some days more hectic than others • Indoors/outdoors (classroom)
