Vessel Tracking Prototype • Provides sample displays and vessel tracking to demonstrate the functionality possible. • Static views demonstrate geographic (map) and attribute (tabular) data display capabilities. • Dynamic views show tows moving on the UMR. • Software from ESRI: • ArcMap (ArcGIS) for geographic and attribute data. • Tracking Analyst extension for vessel movements.

  3. Scope of Prototype • Scope depends on selected scheduling system. • Could range from: • Local focus and span of control at a single lock (several miles upstream and downstream). • Regional or system focus incorporating multiple locks (up to ~100 miles).

  9. Lock Data Information may be static or dynamic.

  12. Locking Sequence Sequence includes 6 tows in queue + 2 tows Down Bound in Pool 22.
