  5. Milestones

  6. Deliverables – 2013/2014/2015

  7. 1st test campaign in 2015 • Due to LHC restart, Jan. 2015, we propose to have the testing campaign in Jan.15, when the experimental cavern is still accessible. • To be safe, we have probably to change the Tile example to a different scenarios accessible during the short access period (1 every 2 months). • This intermediate test campaign is an unique occasion to test the technologies you have started to develop and start debugging. • It will be also the first real consortium wide collaborative work and the first integration state of the future system. • So, we have to agree (hopefully this week, due to the time constraints) on an intermediate configuration of our system and technologies.

  8. To start brainstorming this is a proposal of configuration that I would like that we develop and agree this week: The worker will be equipped with a tablet (if possible the HMD will be also tested). We will mount on tablet a camera (for AR purpose) and IMU sensors (video and IMU data are transmitted to PTU processing unit). The video (AR) should also be transmittable “ real time “ with point to point connection to the server for WRM analysis. The worker helmet will be equipped by a camera (for supervision purpose) and an audio device to communicate, all data transiting via the PTU processing and Rx/Tx devices. We use the tablet as a display device, and as worker user interface. All software are run on PTU processing unit (sensor fusion, AR SW, visualization SW, Tx/Rx for AR video, supervision video/audio, sensors, gamma imaging data,..). PTU provides (at least) power, devices required interfaces and dosimeter sensor. Control system, supervisor user interface and Database developed and run on ATLAS servers

  9. Goal for this week: Freeze the test set up and configuration Clarify all missing information (you still may have) before end of the week ... Clarify the responsibilities (if still required) Note: You have ALL to address the questions and issues if you need clarifications I will propose our conclusions and proposal of test campaign at Supervisory Board for approval on Friday June 2014 : test campaign final design review (after the mid term review) + presentation of a detailed work schedule (by all fellows) to reach the Jan. milestones. October – 2014: progress review
