  3. THE DIFFERENT KINDS OF KIWIS • Brown kiwi. • Little spotted kiwi. • Great spotted kiwi. • Reddish brown kiwi. • White kiwi.

  4. THE HISTORY • In recent years the Māori always protect the kiwi. • In the past Māori wore cloaks made out of kiwi fur. • They also ate the kiwi. That is bad isn't it? • They are now protected animals.

  6. HOW HAS THE KIWI INFLUENCED NZ’S IDENTITY?`+ • We get called kiwi’s by people in other countries. • New Zealand has named their league team after the kiwi. • Used as a symbol • Used in Maori stories with the God of nature • Tourist attraction
