Project Status • GBRA has submitted an application to TECQ for Water Rights • GBRA is requesting the project be evaluated for incorporation into the 2011 Regional Water Plan • GBRA will hire a consultant to prepare the plan in accordance with Region L planning criteria • GBRA plans to submit plan to Region L in August for review

Gonzales County Project • Conjunctive use project: • Provides firm water supply of 25,000 acre-ft/yr, maximizing use of renewable surface water supplies and using groundwater when surface water supplies are unavailable • Provides opportunity for aquifer recovery during wet and normal hydrologic conditions when more surface water is available
