  3. bats • estimated total of about 1,100 species worldwide • There are fossils of Bats that were found which age up to 52-million-year-old • bats of 52.5 million years ago flew differently than the bats of today • Megabats eat fruit,nectar, and pollen • Microbats eat insects,blood,small mammals,and fish • Baby bats are referred to as pups • the pups are grown up by the age of 6 to 8 weeks

(1.8-2.79 ounces) • diet of the Gila woodpecker consists of ants, beetles, grasshoppers, fruits from saguaro cactus, mistletoe berries, seeds, occasional birds’ eggs, and lizards
