  2. Roman Army Information • The Roman Army had a good army. They had to be tough to join. The emperor used the romans to protect Rome from any danger. The romans had to serve in the army for 25 years to become a citizen of Rome. They fought with short swords, daggers for stabbing and a long spear to throw. They also used a shield and armor for protection.

  3. Roman Facts • Romans had no army for 5 centuries. • Roman could not marry anybody • Their armor gave them excellence position • They carried curved shields. • They could punch the enemy with the metal boss in the centre

  4. Roman Army 5 fun facts • Slaves made up 40% of Rome population • Roman soldiers wore sandals. • Soldiers far from home were lonely. • Romans soldiers wore their swords on the right side but later on the left like centurions. • Roman cavalrymen rode without stirrup.
