CIMAP-ENSICAen and SCR at the University of Rennes are collaborating on DRS-2-2014, focusing on crisis management tools for detecting and monitoring victims after mass CBRNE contamination or exposure. Our research emphasizes the fabrication and characterization of mid-infrared materials (glasses and crystals) designed for gas sensors. We aim to advance all-optical hazardous gas detection using rare-earth doped chalcogenide fibers and thin films, enhancing sensing capabilities for hazardous gases, with robust features for remote detection and energy conversion.
