This document presents the Estonian experience in redesigning administrative data as part of preparations for a register-based population and housing census. Conclusion (Re)designing administrative data in order to meet statistical as well as administrative needs is a long and continuous process, which requires rethinking many practises, including the essence of co-operation between state agencies. Kristi Lehto
