Recognizing innovative advertising campaigns, electronic media, and special events, Bay Area Commuter Services won for their "Way to Go" commercials targeting young employees. Additionally, Jesus Guerra received the Leadership Award for his contributions to the South Florida Vanpool Program, which launched an impactful marketing campaign.   2. Marketing Excellence Award • The Marketing Excellence Award recognizes excellence in Florida public transportation-related marketing implemented within the past two years, including, but not limited to: • Advertising Campaigns • Electronic Media • Special Events

And the Winner is… Bay Area Commuter Services for the “Way to Go” television commercials • Project consisted of the writing, casting, production and airing of three 30-second television commercials. • Target audience: Generation X and Y (age 18-35) employees. • Total cost = $111,731, • $11,655 for production • $100,076 for air-time

  4. Leadership Award • Given to honor a Florida individual who has made outstanding contributions to the public transportation industry.

  5. And the Winner is… • Jesus Guerra with the South Florida Vanpool Program • Developed & implemented an aggressive $225,000 marketing campaign • 4 billboards along I-95 and US-1 • Heavy saturation of 30-second radio commercials on 4 major stations in English & Spanish • Print advertisements in local Business journals & newspapers • Wrapping of 4 demonstration vans • Development of an array of marketing materials • Resulted in 2 dozen new vanpools serving an estimated 200 persons daily

Innovative Program Award • Given to a Florida Public transportation system, commuter assistance program, transportation management organization, or other Florida entity that has designed and implemented specific public transportation-related programs that demonstrate innovate concepts or effective problem-solving techniques. • Program should be of proven value and adaptable for use by others.

Pinellas Suncoast Transit Authority Suncoast Beach TrolleySM for its Suncoast Beach Trolley Extension 2 new PSTA routes were integrated into one trolley route to allow seamless travel on nearly all Pinellas County beaches – from Pass-A-Grill to Clearwater Beach to Downtown Clearwater Aggressive marketing campaign on trolley services coincided with the integration Eliminates time-consuming, cumbersome transfers Saves money by eliminating mileage of terminated route & by reducing printing costs (less schedules to print) And the Winner is…
