C: Content Access Portal • Work item • coordination with Internet2 ResearchChannel Global initiative to expand their portal with European content and links • Done • Meetings during Internet2 member meetings with consortium • Presentations at Internet2 2004 fall member meeting, ResearchChannel annual meeting, SURA/ViDe Digital Video workshop 2005 • Portal in development • Planning for year 2 • Further development portal • Grow participation

F: Global Dialing Scheme • Work items • New GDS recommendations • Updated VC services info (Baiba, TERENA) • Done • Updated service info • Connected more sites (e.g. Latvia, France, Belgium in preparation) to GDS/VideNet • Planning for year 2 • New recommendations • Taking into account outcome of SIP deployment discussion • Adding new sites to service info page • Site-effect: discussion on GDS/hierarchy for interconnecting SIP implementations

VoIP VoIP VoIP ISDN ISDN Interconnecting SIP deployments • Now often VoIP-VoIP connection via ISDN • Problem similar to connecting H.323 zones • Possibilities • ENUM • Options to join several trees (Verisign, Internet2, …) • ViDenet-like hierarchy + cross domain numberplan • International SIP proxies where national/institutional SIP proxies route unknown numbers to • Needed • border gateways (SIP-H.323)

H: High-end/quality systems • Work items: • Workshop on HQ systems • HD-over-IP (Jesus Alcober, i2cat/UPC) • Forum/wiki • Sip based framework • Done • HD-over-IP forum and portal • Coordination with APAN wg and I2/RC bigvideo wg, incl presentations at the meetings • Planning for year 2 • Workshop (nov 2005) • SIP based framework

L: End-to-end measurements • Work item • Possibilities investigation (???, default: egon) • Done • Contacted GN2 JRA1 leader • Participated in Dutch JRA1 meeting on VC and streaming e2e measurements scenarios • Planning for year 2 • Meeting with GN2 JRA1 leader • Work out scenario’s and make them public
