  2. Why? • Cost: $1500/mo for Level3 Managed Modem • Declining usage: • Average simultaneous users in 2010: 2 • Unique users May 2010 to Dec 2010: 27 • Centralized service just doesn’t make sense • Others (CSU, ???) have discontinued dialup

  3. Alternatives • Individual dialup accounts for end users, using their provider of choice. Who pays? • Other connection methods?
