Feedback from Folkestone Speaking Up Group. Shepway District Partnership Group and Skillnet Group working together to start up 2 new Speaking Up Groups. One in Folkestone one in the Marsh area. We met at Cafés and other places because we did not have an office.

  1. Feedback from Folkestone Speaking Up Group Shepway District Partnership Group and Skillnet Group working together to start up 2 new Speaking Up Groups. One in Folkestone one in the Marsh area.

  2. We met at Cafés and other places because we did not have an office

  3. We now have an office at 69 Sandgate Road The manager met with us and showed us round the building. We sent out letters and flyers inviting people to the Speaking Up Group

  4. We now have an office at 69 Sandgate Road On 16 September we had Mark, Lee, James and Danielfrom Shepway Resource Centre and Arthur, Maureen and Elvis

  5. Great support from people We have about 25 to 30 people regularly at the Speaking Up Group.

  6. We now have great support at meetings Together we looked at the Green Paper, it is about “Shaping the future of Care Together” and sent our feedback to the Government

  7. We invited the police Mick Cronin, Community Liaision Officer and Jo, PCSO came because people are worried about the problems with school children on the buses.

  8. Stagecoach Bus We have been in touch with Mark Spratt, the manager of Stagecoach in Folkestone. We would like him and Mick Cronin to have a meeting with us on 16 December 2009 to see how we can work together to solve the problem of hate crime on the buses.
