  9. How The Service Works • Activating the Service • The service is automatically activated for Emory University faculty, staff and students' email accounts (with some exceptions). If your email account is eligible for the service, you will receive an email welcome message that introduces you to the service. • Accessing Your Message Center • Type the following url address into a web browser: https://www.app.emory.edu/av-spamfilter • When the login screen appears, type in your Emory network ID and password. • Your Message Center will appear in your web browser open to the Junk message window.

  10. How The Service Works

  11. How The Service Works • Viewing and Changing Spam (Junk Mail) Filter Settings • At the top right, you will see your netid@emory.edu. Below your netid are links to Approve Senders, Settings, Log Out, and Help. • Select Settings to open the Account Settings window. • Use the link, Adjust Filters, to set filter threshold for quarantined spam and junk email in your account. The default filter setting is very lenient. See Message Center Help for further instructions, if needed.

  13. How The Service Works • Logging/Timing Out • When you log out of the Message Center (or if you were logged in and the application timed out), to return to your Message Center, repeat steps in "Accessing your Message Center" above. • Message Center Help • Find help for using the features in your Message Center by accessing the Help link at the top right of Message Center windows.
