  1. Website and Newsletter Report By Karine Leblanc, ARC

  2. Newsletter • We have sent 7 newsletter this year 2011-2012 • (1) Aug: CRC coming up • (2) Nov: updates and Scott CTTC • (1) Jan: updates • (2) April: CRC announcement and updates • (1) July: CRC website and newsletter awards

  3. Newsletter • The newsletter was sent by Mailchimp and I was using the SoCal chapter account at that time • We did send it to all the alternate and delegates plus the Regional committee • I created since then a new account only for the Region X • I did imported the complete members list that includes a total of 4088 members • Mailchimp is free for 2000 emails only. From 2000-5000 emails, the cost is $50/month with 15% discount for non-profit for a total of $500/year unlimited email

  4. Newsletter • If we decide to go a la carte, it would cost us $100 per email ($.02/email) • What do we want to do? • Problem is that the delegates and alternates don’t relay the information at their board meeting which is why I would recommend sending the newsletter to all • How many newsletter do you want to send? I’m thinking the more often the better so at least once a month to keep the momentum! • What would you want to see in the newsletter? • Do you like the format? Colors? Style? Contents?

  5. Newsletter Mailchimp report

  6. Facebook • We have only 51 like. What could we do to increase this number? Send the newsletter to 4088 members would definitely help out! • I would encourage every chapter to post their newsletter through the Region X facebook as well like the SoCal chapter is actually doing. • We are using the like button on all our newsletter and also on our website. The more people like the RegionX page the more will stay in touch • I am trying to post the pictures ASAP after each event, would be good for everyone to tag themselves

  7. Twitter • Per the Mailchimp report, we have a great exposure through twitter. • The mailchimp newsletter post the link directly to Twitter as we send them • Any recommendation? • Are you following the Region X twitter feed? • We have 55 tweets total • We have 25 followers

  8. Website • PLEASE refer to the website for everything. It needs to serve as something. Post links to website in your newsletter article. • When people call/email for information, send them back to the website, show them where is the info • I don’t agree with having the CRC hosted by Society when we have our own website and people to manage it. The fee that Society is charging us would cover for the expense of maintaining is for the CRC. • By using Society for the CRC, we once again miss the the boat and not use our own tool which we don’t promote. • Could we discuss the CRC registration to go through us instead?

  9. Website • Audience: • 313 visits total • 208 new • 105 returning • 692 page views • 2.21 pages • 3:06 average time • 90% USA

  10. Website • 41.21% Search traffic • 19.17% Referral Traffic • 39.62% Direct Traffic • Search (129): Keywork search • Referral (60): GG, HI, Central AZ, SoCal, SN, Linkedin, FB • Direct (124): Email with link • Please add the RegionX to your website, newsletter and communications

  11. Website • Content viewed: • Home page: 26% • CRC: 32% • Locations: 7% • Contacts: 6% • Treasurer: 2% • AHR Expo Vegas: 1.7% • RP: 1.5% • SA: 1.5% • AHR Dallas: 1.3%

  12. Website • Conclusion: • Nobody will look at the Region X website if we never mention it, don’t refer people to it for information, don’t post link to it in your article, don’t update often, and don’t have registration through it. • Is anybody ready to promote it!?
