In Lesson #8 of our diversity of life unit, students will explore the fascinating world of vertebrates. This lesson will cover key terms such as vertebrates, invertebrates, and the classification kingdom. We will investigate the common features of various vertebrate groups including fish, amphibians, reptiles, birds, and mammals. Students will work in assigned groups, analyze images, and discuss adaptations unique to each group. Additionally, interactive links and games will enhance their understanding of animal classification.
