The ‘C20’ course curriculum aims to enhance the student experience in medical education based on the latest GMC guidance. Key priorities include increased clinical learning opportunities such as clinical skills laboratory sessions, simulation-based science teaching, and earlier clinical attachments starting December 2011. Year 4 will offer a resit examination opportunity, while Year 5 focuses on extensive clinical placements and assessments. Ongoing development in communication skills, teamwork, and appraisal systems will prepare students for future medical practices and enhance their readiness for the Foundation Programme.
