  2. How it started Started in 1919 after the Chicago White Sox threw the word series. In the years following the White Sox had good teams but could never make a world series.

  3. Fans • This loosing streak upset fans and lost the White Sox many supporters.

  4. Curse Ended • 40 years later in 1959 the curse seemed to be coming to end after the White Sox won the pennant and were headed to the world series. • But they would go on to lose in 6 games to the LA Dodgers

  5. The White Sox would not go to another World Series until 2005 when they swept the Houston Astros. The world series win ended the curse of the Black Sox after 88 years.

  6. Possible reasons for the curse.. • The players had enough of loosing and just gave up. • When the curse was going on the fans gave up on the team. They knew that they had a good team as did the White Sox but they couldn’t win.
