The American Society of Hospital Pharmacists (ASHP) aims to enhance the role of pharmacists through collaborative information sharing and advocacy. With a focus on e-prescription standards, ASHP works with groups like NCPDP for outpatient pharmacy, and addresses assessment of new standards from CCHIT and CMS. As we engage key stakeholders, we will increase awareness of Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise (IHE) and gather use case feedback to promote active participation in future IHE Pharmacy initiatives.
