Overview • A shared collection of eBooks & audio books offered by Overdrive, Inc. • An affordable way for public libraries to offer digital content to their members • Consortium membership is for public libraries in Northeast Texas with populations up to 100,000 • Annual participation fee based on population served: $1,500 - $9,000

  3. Features & Benefits for Staff • External download website with choice of audio books and eBooks • Authentication for easy checkout • Online training and promotional assistance • Collection development tools and reports

  4. Features and Benefits for Library Members • eBooks & audio books can be checked out 24 hours a day from any location with Internet access • Never have an overdue or lost book (therefore never have to pay a fine) • Compatible with many different devices by downloading free applications • Ability to put books on a personal waiting list • Fiction & nonfiction books for adults, children, and teenagers

  5. Who, How Many, How Long, and Where? • A Prosper Community Library card is required with no outstanding fees, overdue or lost material. • A maximum of 5 books per card may be checked out. • Books are checked out for 2 weeks (14 days). • There are approximately 5,000 books in the Consortium collection • http://netldc.lib.overdrive.com
