  2. Before we compare verb conjugations, let’s look at 3rd io and 4th: • capio, capere 3rd io • facio, facere • munio, munīre 4th • invenio, invenīre

  7. Third io Conjugation Drop “re” from 2nd principal part Add: io imus is itis it iunt Fourth Conjugation Drop “re” from 2nd principal part Add: o mus s tis t unt Present Tense

  9. Perfect Tense • Follow the rules for the other conjugations: • Drop “i” from 3rd principal part to get perfect stem • Then, add endings: i, isti, it, imus, istis, erunt

  10. Perfect Tense of Munio:muniō, munīre, munivī, munitus • munivi • munivisti • munivit • munivimus • munivistis • muniverunt munivī

  11. 3rd io Conjugation Singular = 2nd principal part – “re” Plural = use singular form, but change “e” to “i” and add “te” Cape and Capite = take 4th Conjugation Singular = 2nd principal part – “re” Plural = use singular form and add “te” Muni and Munite = Fortify! Imperative Mood
