Conference Call / Virtual Kickoff • All Team Captain kickoff call to celebrate nationwide impact in Relay For Life and the fight against cancer. • Invite Executive Champion to speak • National Volunteer Leader speak • ACS Representative speak • Encourage leadership development, volunteerism, team captains, survivors & donors nationwide.

Intranet Promotion • Link to team registration – co-branded online page. • Virtual newsletter for recognition of team success. • Share Sign up information, affiliation information & company support. • Share Fundraising and theme ideas to getting involved with Relay. • Share Fight Back opportunities for a corporate nationwide effort. • Link to www.RelayForLife.org for more information

  6. Goal setting • Current involvement – on application Siebel reports • Employee numbers – look at % • Goals – by region, by national base, teams, volunteers, and contributions • Matching or incentive programs? • What about registration fees?

Regional Champions • Divide the team recruitment by region locations, lines of service, franchise lines, or however this makes sense to your company organization. • Ask each region to look at teams and set goals for team recruitment and involvement in Relay. • Celebrate success and collect stories of involvement through those regional points of contact.

  10. “Resolution Relay” Kickoff • A Relay Kickoff is designed to provide companies with an opportunity to bring together executives and employees in a celebration of survivorship to introduce Relay and the opportunities of volunteerism, being a team captain, committee member or team participant.

  11. National Team Kickoff Breakfast / Reception • A NTP Kickoff Breakfast / Reception is designed to provide companies with an opportunity to bring together executives and employees from various locations or involving multiple companies in a celebration of survivorship to introduce Relay and the opportunities of volunteerism, being a team captain, committee member or team participant. It is a great opportunity to recognize our NTP partners and involve additional teams and companies in the metro or regional area holding the kickoff.

  12. Mini Corporate Relay Rally (Not available everywhere) • A Mini Corporate Relay Rally will be designed to provide companies with an opportunity to bring together executives and employees in an active character-building, community service, and leadership experience that honors and remembers cancer survivors. This type of event will mimic the Relay experience and share the fun and team building aspects that will develop team and individual involvement in the local Relay community event.

  13. Corporate Campus / HQ Relay • MetLife in New England, held a NTP kickoff on their campus and invited other NTP’s. The purpose was to recruit more teams to Relay. • Wachovia Bank had the Relay at their corp campus in Charlotte NC – this was held there for 3 years and then moved to a community event. Amy Davis (now RVP)… Majority of leadership and teams came from bank. • Bank of American Event in Delaware is held at their corporate campus • SA Division BMW Corporate Relay event held on their corporate campus
