  4. CREDIT CHECKS • Total credits to date: • should have at least 12 currently, after this semester 15 total credits • AIMS—If approaching or falls far below, or no scores…will be on list to take again in the spring or next fall This is for graduation purposes only

  5. Less Than 12 Credits? • Saturday School • Lift Lab • BYU Online • Chandler Online Academy • 0 hour • Summer School Registration for summer school begins in the Spring after intersession

  6. ECAP • Education Career Action Plan • All students must have a completed ECAP before they graduate. • Four Year Plan (9th) • Resume (10th) • Work Value Inventory (11th) • Updated and accurate 4 year plan (12th) • Current Juniors have already completed and updated requirements this quarter

  7. Community College Entrance Requirements • No SAT or ACT • Accuplacer is a Placement Test for: • Reading, Writing, and Math • May be taken at any community college campus

HOW TO BEGIN THE COLLEGE APPLICATION PROCESS • Visit college campuses during fall, winter, and spring break • Sign up for college visits in the Career Center • Consult college websites (azcis.intocareers.org) • Take SAT or ACT starting second semester— • Retake the test you scored the highest in • Start college applications as soon as you begin your senior year • Start preparing for college & scholarship essays

  16. Stay Focused • Keep your grades up • 6th semester of your transcript does count for college applications • Meet deadlines • Keep an updated resume • Volunteer and get involved on and off campus
