1. American Elm Planting Project White Mountain National Forest Title text here 2010 Accomplishments In 2009, the Supervisor’s Office and Pemigewasset Ranger District of the White Mountain National Forest moved into a newly constructed office in Campton, New Hampshire. This new building includes a number of features designed to improve our sustainability efforts and is expected to be LEED certified Silver. The site plans included a natural landscaping design featuring a native plant interpretive garden and native seed propagation area. As part of the landscaping, 5 American elm saplings were planted by students from the Youth Conservation Corps during the summer of 2010. The trees are establishing fairly well, some better than others, depending on the soil and water regimes of their planting sites. Figure 2.
