Milking Devon cattle are medium-sized, triple-purpose animals known for their hardiness and adaptability. They thrive on low-quality forage in harsh conditions and boast a healthy, long-lived lineage. Typically red, ranging from deep rich to light shades, they may have white markings and medium-sized horns. Known for their docile temperaments, both cows and bulls are easy to handle with proper care. This breed is ideal for small farms, offering adequate milk production and minimal calving difficulties; they are also historical oxen used since the American Colonies.
