  2. What Is Dinki Mini • Dinki Mini is of African origin. • From the Congolese word ‘ndingi’-lamentation or funeral song. • It is also known as gerreh. (tacky) • It is a mixture of song and dance. Dinkies are celebratory occasions.

  3. Social Settings Practiced • Dinki Mini was practiced openly throughout slavery . • It is usually performed after the death of a person, and up until the ninth night after the death. • It is usually done outdoors at the home of the deceased.
