  4. Financials Fund Balance • Current Fund Balance = $191,338.92 • We will receive $40,000+ from the Winter Simulation Conference as our balance transfer in April 2009. • SIGSIM fund balance will exceed $230K in April 2009. $134,835.79

Publications and Other Member Benefits • Member-only access to SIGSIM M&S Knowledge Repository • WSC Proceedings (CD) mailed to each SIGSIM member • PADS Proceedings (hard copy) mailed to each SIGSIM member • Discounted conference attendance fees for SIGSIM members for many conferences including WSC and PADS. • SIGSIM members are granted full on-line access to the proceedings of the SIGSIM sponsored / supported conferences in the ACM Digital Library.

Past and Future Challenges • SIGSIM did not have a publication since July 1998, which caused membership to drop significantly. • We founded SIGSIM M&S Knowledge Repository (MSKR)www.acm-sigsim-mskr.orgwith the objective of creating a multimedia knowledge base on Modeling and Simulation (M&S) that would • be an asset for ACM, • be an excellent source of knowledge for M&S professionals, educators, and students, and • significantly help increase the SIGSIM membership. • Initial MSKR version was created in December 2008 thru March 2009 and it is officially announced in March 2009. • We plan to expand the scope of SIGSIM to all kinds of M&S. • We are celebrating 40th birthday of SIGSIM founded in April 1969.
