  3. What is the name of the tribe that lives in the Sahara? Describe some of their customs. * The tuareg tribe lives in the Sahara. * They traded caravans that brought gold, ivory, and salt

  4. List and describe a meal they eat A meal they eat is a typical dish that contains camel’s milk with dried dates or a millet porridge with butter sauce

  5. Animals * Rodents * Snakes * Scorpions These animals thrive in the Sahara

  6. Why is an oasis important? It helps by giving water to communities

  7. Topographical features * Wadis-temporary water sources located primarily in the mountains and fed by rainfall * Regs-these plains of sand and black, red or white gravel make up 70% of the Sahara * Ergs-Otherwise known as sand seas, ergs are the Saharan dunes of popular imagination
