  2. Intro • The purpose of this project is to get perspectives from different generations from one family to show how we differ from one another with the experiences we have and the people we meet.

  3. 1. What were the disciplinary actions at your house? • Grandma: spanked with a switch off a tree • Mom: Spanked , grounded • Ashton: Grounded , (little) spanking

  4. 2. What were your surroundings like? • Grandma: Pleasant , lots of people, country • Mom: Small town, nice • Ashton: Descent , hectic

  5. 3. What was some of the “NEW” Technology that was out? • Grandma: High FI record Player • Mom: CD’S • Ashton: Game cube, plasma T.V.’s, blue ray, Apple co.

  6. 4. What was your education experience like? • Grandma: Good education, good grades, excelled • Mom: Good grades, excelled • Ashton: Great schools, good grades, excelled

  7. 5. What some of the activities you liked to do? • Grandma: G.A.A sports, hanging out with friends, band • Mom: Cheer, band (marching and jazz),track, football stats • Ashton: Sports, imagination, outdoor ,console, and computer games

  8. 6. Where were some of the places you traveled to? • Grandma: trips with friends; New York , New Jersey, Pennsylvania • Mom: Six Flags, family’s houses • Ashton: All over the country, Six Flags, Family’s houses

  9. 7. Where was your location of residence? • Grandma: Knoxville , IL • Mom: Knoxville , IL • Ashton: All over

  10. 8. Who were the people you lived with? • Grandma: Parents, brother, sister • Mom: Parents, sister • Ashton: Parents, sister

  11. 9. Who were your best friends? • Grandma: Peggy, Karen, Doris • Mom: Lisa, Erin, Alison, Amy, Valerie, Swanson, Heather (cheer buddies) • Ashton: Lauren, Anthony Jr., Christopher

  12. 10. What were your fondest memories? • Grandma: Visiting with parent’s customers , movies with friends • Mom: Riding bikes with friends, cruzing • Ashton: All the people he got to meet

  13. Personal Reflection • It was interesting to find out about what different generations in my family would do and how they lived when they were younger. Doing this project helped me realize how important it is to know about your family’s background.

  14. Conclusion • Reflecting on these project I appreciate the opportunity to have conversations about my background with my loved ones that I would not usually have. This project has afforded me the pleasure of learning new and interesting facts about the Allen family.
