In my gardening project, I started by clearing all the weeds, which took three days. I planted various vegetables, including carrots, cucumbers, beans, and tomatoes. My hypothesis was that veggies planted in potting soil would grow faster than those without. After experimenting, I found that the plants with potting soil indeed grew faster, while those without struggled to sprout. I was surprised by the significant difference, as I initially thought potting soil was merely for aesthetics. However, pests also posed challenges during the project.

The Before • Before I Started I had to clean out all the weeds. • It Took three days to clean.
What I Planted • I planted all veggies • Carrots • Cucumbers • Beans • Tomatoes
Wheres the Science? • Potting soil or no potting soil • My hypothesis is that the veggies with the potting soil will grow faster than the others.
The End Result Potting Soil No Potting Soil • I discovered that the potting soil plants grew faster. • I found that without potting soil my veggies grew slower and almost didn’t come up.
What I Learned • In the beginning I didn’t expect there to be any difference, and so I was surprised with the ending result. • I thought potting soil was something to just make it look good.
What Sucked • Being gone= less time to start. • The bugs started eating the leaves.
