Annual meeting in Zürich, 2012 Welcome to the conference! 370participants from 33 countries Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Bulgaria,Canada, Chile, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany,Hungary, Iceland, Ireland,Israel, Italy, Japan, Lichtenstein, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, South Africa, Sweden, Switzerland,UK,USA

Annual meeting in Zürich, 2012 IGeLU Membership • Growing in spite of the economic crises • As of August 2012: 351 member institutions from 42 countries • New members in 2012 from China, France, Germany, Italy, Malta, Romania, United Kingdom • New countries represented: China and Malta • High representation from:United Kingdom (49), Sweden (29), USA (28), Italy (26), Germany (24), Australia (21) France (17), Austria (15), Finland (14), Switzerland (12), Czech Republic and Israel (11), Norway (10)

Annual meeting in Zürich, 2012 Chair’s Report on IGeLU Activities and Budget • My report on IGeLU activities since the last conference as well as the final budget for 2011 and draft budgets for 2012 and 2013 are in your conference folder • Short report in Session 5 : IGeLU Update and Assembly of Members in the afternoon • Please attend the session – your approval of the report and the budgets is needed!

Annual meeting in Zürich, 2012 IGeLU’s officers Steering Committee (SC) Fiona Burton, Michele Newberry, Michael Fake, Lukas Koster, Peter Klien with the support of our treasurer (and more) Guido Badalamenti Product Working Group (PWG) Coordinators Mike Ryan for ALEPH, Ray Delahunty for Voyager, Luís Miguel Costa for Digitool, Jeremy Acland for MetaLib, Mandy Stewart for Primo, Mark Dehmlow for SFX, Andreas Sabisch for Verde Special Interest Working Group (SIWG) Coordinators Peter Klien for consortia, Marcus Zerbst for ARC, Alexandra Esteves for special libraries, and Lukas Koster for the new SIWG Linked Open Data Plus active members of the PWGs and SIWGs and volunteers

Annual meeting in Zürich, 2012 Voting on the Steering Committee and Chair • 2012 Five open positions: • The terms of Fiona Burton, Lukas Koster, Michele Newberry, and myself have expired and Michael Fake leaves because of changes in his job environment • SC candidates: Fiona Burton, Mark Dehmlow, Theo Engelman, Naomi Greidinger • Candidacy open until the Assembly of members in the afternoon

Annual meeting in Haifa, 2011 Voting procedure • Today, during the day: pick up your voting slips and the proxy votes at the registration desk • Today, in the afternoon at 16.30 during the Assembly of Members:- Introduction of the candidates for the Chair and the SC - - Voting for the Chair during the session • - - Announcement of the results of the Chair Election - - Voting for the Steering Committee starts after the session and continues until Thursday 12.00 (voting box at the registration desk) • Thursday afternoon at 16:30 during the Closing Session: - Announcement of the results of the voting for the Steering Committee

Annual meeting in Zürich, 2012 Organisational issues • Collecting presentations: If possible, hand over your presentation at registration any time before the session, otherwise please save in folder “IGELU 2012” • Ex Libris support and consultation room: Open throughout the conference in room F 33.5, schedule in the participant information • SFX round table session limited to 40 people, first come first serve • Questions for Q&A can be submitted until Wednesday 12.00 • Social event tonight at 7 pm in Kongreßhaus • Evaluation survey: www.surveymonkey.com/s/Zurich2012

Annual meeting in Zürich, 2012 Thanks to the ETH Zurich Organising Team… Christine Bärtsch, Monika Stehle, Nicole Kienast, Blanka Kraus, Jonas Stöckli, Annette Trinkler, Christine Verhoustraeten, Shivaneshan Vinasithampy and many others from the ETH who were constantly involved in the logistical preparations of the conference! With special thanks to Dr. Wolfram Neubauer who kindly gave us shelter, Andreas Kirstein who supported us from the very beginning, and to Christine Bärtschwho chaired the team.
