Sooner or later, we would have to discover a situation that completely astonished our preconceived notions of the use of talent. Last year, while visiting XYZ Company in Bangladesh, we were quite surprised to find out that some of the most coveted employees spend an additional 8 years receiving their education before joining the workforce. The immediate question that comes to mind is whether or not those additional years help these employees achieve their long-term goals. What we found surprised us! Many of these individuals couldn’t be happier. Despite my skeptic stance on these topics, I wasn’t left feeling that I was simply being fed some happy-go-lucky story about workplace contentment.
