Works Cited Set Up • Title “Works Cited” is centered • Typed, size 12 font (Times New Roman or Calibri) • 1 inch left & right margins • Double-spaced • Resources listed alphabetically • Each entry should have hanging indents if it goes over one line • Article titles in quotations/ book & magazines in italics

  3. What is a hanging indent? • A hanging indent is when the second and every subsequent line is indented. (For example, this bullet has a hanging indent). Hanging indent

  4. MLA: Book entry Set up: Last name author, first name author. Title (in italics). Place of publication: Publisher, year published. Format.

  5. MLA: Book entry • Example: Smith, Jean Edwards. FDR. New York, NY: Random House, 2007. Print.

  6. MLA: Web page entry • Set up: Author Last, First (if available). "Title of the work if it is part of a larger work." Title of the Overall Web Site. Publisher or sponsor of the site. Date of publication. Format. Date accessed. <Web address>.
