  2. A CONCLUDING PARAGRAPH TO A PERSUASIVE ESSAY • Restates the thesis statement in different words to remind the audience of the topic. • Is one paragraph long. • Summarizes the strongest argument in a thoughtful, vivid way.

  3. Thesis Statement: Illegal immigration must be addressed as legal immigration is too difficult, illegal routes for entry into the United States will shift and illegal immigrants include more than Mexicans. Point A: Legal Immigration is too difficult. Using my Thesis Statement and Point A from my outline: We must all agree that legal immigration is too difficult for those who come to the United States with little education and little money. Yet, building a fence will not stop the flow of illegal immigrants. It is our duty as Americans to write to our Congressmen and demand that the United States government drastically alter its immigration policy to better serve the American businesses that rely on the services of immigrants and those who wish to immigrate legally. As Anthony Walton states, “America’s greatest strength, and its greatest weakness, is our belief in second chances, our belief that we can always start over, that things can be made better.” CONCLUSIONS
