  2. What is a Physical Meteorology Anyway? • This is the branch of meteorology dealing with the study of optical, electrical, acoustical, and thermodynamics phenomena in the atmosphere including the physics of clouds and precipitation. • Now, what does this mean in simpler terms?

  3. What do physical meteorologist need to able to do? • Computer skills • Comprehend climate theories, physics, and math • Critical thinking, good listener, be able to speak in public, and have good time management skills.

  4. I want to be a meteorologist, what will I need to know? • You will need to know • Geography • Physics • Media • Language • Telecommunications

  5. What type of education is needed? • Bachelor’s degree or Post- Baccalaureate certificate • A local college offering classes in physical meteorology would be ECU Eastern Carolina University. • Work option could be NOAA • Nation Weather Service.
