    7. EMPRESA EJECUTORA La Unin Elctrica de Cuba (UEC) tiene ms de 45 aos de experiencia en mantenimiento, operacin, construccin, montaje y puesta en marcha de Sistemas Elctricos. Hasta la fecha se ha instalado en Grupos Electrgenos de Diesel y Fuel: Diesel en Cuba: 1310 MW Fuel en Cuba: 212 MW y 1000 MW en proceso de montaje. Diesel en Nicaragua: 60 MW Diesel en Venezuela: 90 MW y 850 MW en proceso de montaje. En referencia a los compromisos cumplidos previamente, a la disponibilidad de equipos y a los convenios de cooperacin firmados entre CUBA y VENEZUELA se considera conveniente la contratacin de los servicios a la UNION ELECTRICA DE CUBA. La UEC adquiri los equipos de generacin necesarios para dar una respuesta oportuna al compromiso asumido por nuestro Presidente de la Republica Bolivariana de Venezuela, de suministrar energa elctrica a Nicaragua y Hait, enmarcada dentro del Acuerdo de PetroCaribe.
