TEAM 6 Student Expectations
Behavior for entering and leaving the classroom • • Enter quietly with the materials they need. • • Write in your agenda. • • Continue with classroom procedure. • • Students can’t leave the first or last 15 minutes of class. • • Leave with your AGENDA signed, use your passing period for restroom/drink. • Student must ask permission to leave and then complete the pass. • • Teacher dismisses class. • • Room MUST be picked up before dismissal, tardy passes WILL NOT be given.
Tardy to Class • You will be counted tardy if you are not in your seat when the door is closed! (KNOCK ON THE DOOR TO ENTER) • If you have a pass from the office or another teacher, give it to the teacher. • If you are tardy to class, you will need to complete the tardy pass on page 39. • If you are late to school, you will get a tardy slip from the office. Remember to get a pass from the office if you have been absent from school as well.
Classroom Procedures for supplies • Students ARE expected to bring ALL supplies with them to EVERY class. o PENCILS and SHARPNER o Binder – with required school supplies o Library book o Composition book/Textbook o A SMILE o A POSITIVE, “CAN DO” ATTITUDE! • Pencils should be sharpened at the beginning of class, if it breaks wait for an appropriate time to sharpen it if using the classroom sharpener. • If you are missing your supplies, please ask the teacher at the beginning of class.
Paper Headings • Name (FIRST and LAST) • Core • Date • Assignment Teachers may have you do a different type of heading in your composition book
Classroom Participation • To ask for help, raise your hand and wait to be called on by the speaker. • Talking is allowed when the teacher gives you permission to talk. • To participate in classroom discussions: o Be respectful of others opinions and thoughts o Wait for others to finish before speaking o Be engaged in listening and discussion
Procedure for turning in complete work • Heading on assignment in upper right hand corner • Table of Contents completed • Placed in designated area
